Is it better to trade in only one market and specialize in that market, or to trade in multiple markets? When I started trading I used to trade UK shares using Level 2 and after a while I transitioned into the futures market

I started having a feel when the conditions are right to trade. My trades were working well, I had a good feel when I should go long or long and my losses were controlled. As such trading one or two markets and following them on a day-to-day basis can work very well. And when there is good volatility, you can get multiple opportunities per day.

But what do you do when things go quiet? In such circumstances it might be handy to have some strategies that you can adapt to other markets.
